DAF ATe edition

| Aerodynamic package
With a view to lowering fuel consumption as far as possible, measures were firstly taken to optimise aerodynamics. One of these is the addition of a complete package of roof spoilers and side fenders, combined with side skirts, which will be supplied on the CF85 and XF105 ATe edition as standard. |
TyresTyres that have a low rolling resistance are supplied as standard. These come in size 315/70R22.5, and their purpose is to lower the height of the truck and to further reduce air resistance. |
Direct drive drivelineThe ATe models have a direct drive driveline with a 2.69:1 reduction in order to achieve optimum fuel efficiency. A version with 2.53:1 reduction is available as an option for lighter use and applications. |
ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control)Adaptive Cruise Control, which ensures that the truck automatically remains at a safe distance from the vehicle in front, is fitted as standard. The MX Engine Brake is used as a retarder to keep fuel consumption as low as possible and to improve load capacity by tens of kilos. |
DAF EcoDrive TrainingAll CF85 and XF105 ATe edition models come with DAF EcoDrive driver training*, which permanently reduces actual fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by 3 to 5% on average. |
EEV (Enhanced environmentally friendly vehicles)The new CF85 ATe edition is fitted with a 12.9-litre PACCAR MX engine with 340 kW/460 hp in the ultra-clean EEV model. EEV engines (Enhanced environmentally friendly vehicles) produce 33% fewer soot particles than DAF Euro 5 engines, which are already very clean. What is more, EEV emission values are achieved without a soot filter, which means a weight advantage of around 30 kilograms, as well as more free space on the chassis. |
*) In countries where the DAF Ecodrive driver training courses are available.
